Dear Student and Parent(s):

Welcome to the Grayson Technical Education Program! We are so excited about the upcoming school year. You are a part of the most elite class Grayson Tech has ever seen. We have high expectations for you here, and hope you plan to work hard, have fun, and achieve all of your academic goals. We want to share a few informational items that will help you prepare for the upcoming school year in the Grayson Technical Education Program.

1)  Grayson Tech will be at enrollment capacity. Most programs have a wait list. Please notify our office at alexis_johnson@gwinnett.k12.ga.us if you’re planning on not attending.

2)  Orientation will be on Wednesday, August 2 between 8:00-11:30AM.  Grayson HS students should follow the schedule that you will receive from Grayson.  Non-Grayson students may drop in at any time between 8:00-11:30 to meet your teacher and receive any specific program information. This is not required, but encouraged!

3) Classes at Grayson Technical will begin the first day of school, August 7, 2017.  If your home school is conducting first day of school activities that conflict with the Grayson Tech class times, please check with your home school to determine your schedule for the first day.

4)  The class times for Grayson Technical program are:

AM block – 7:15 – 9:45 (GHS students remain until 10:19)

PM block – 11:50-2:10 (All students)

Parking information for Non-Grayson students only:

Remember, you are responsible for your own transportation to Grayson Technical School. You should display, in your car, the parking permit that you receive from your home school. In addition, you will also receive a Grayson Technical School parking permit, free of charge, when you complete the parking application found on our website, graysontech.org.  Please complete the application and return the printed copy to Ms. Wojtczak in the front lobby by August 16, 2017. The Grayson Technical School permit must also be displayed in your vehicle at all times once you receive it. You should park in front of the technical building when you arrive (this will be the last building and parking lot on your right once you turn into the Grayson High School entrance).

We hope this letter addresses any questions you may have had about the Grayson Technical Education Program. Enjoy the rest of your summer and we look forward to seeing you in August.

Sincerely,

Jill Landtroop

Assistant Principal
